CarAngel

There is an expression that I hear very often in the process of my recovery…

“You can’t keep what you have unless you give it away.”

There are many people in American and worldwide that so not have the luxury problems I sometimes get caught up in. When I take a moment to look at the bigger picture and where I exist within it’s framework, often I am humbled by my sometimes silly struggles I get caught up within.

As the Christmas season draws closer I find that I am looking to do something with myself to give back in a sense, so freely what was given to me.

Opportunity.
Another way.
Another chance.
Kindness from people I don’t know.

A few years back I had the opportunity to donate a car ….. my car. When I no longer had any use for it, instead of junking it I found that there was something else I could do with it rather then toss it in the old junk pile. It was old, didn’t work very well and was more of a burden then something that helped me.

There are many types of organizations that accept car donations for people who no longer want there vehicles. Most organizations offer a tax deduction of some sort and will provide the necessary pick up or tow from your home as well as the title transfer.

There are many different types of charity organizations such as these based upon the principle of providing help to help single mothers, homeless, teen and adult rehab, food distribution and orphans. And this is the time of the year that many people may need a little more help then others.

An organization I came across that caters to this “helping others” philosophy was CarAngel .

They are based in the U.S. and accept donations of Cars, Boats, Planes, House or RV’s. The one thing that drew me to their service was there motto….

“Help us help others.”

They also use the proceeds from the donations to provide literacy programs to many of the prison populations and create and distribute a variety of Free Children’s DVDs and animated films that teach and educate children on the problem of drug abuse.

There is a variety of different services and solutions they offer in helping to promote a solution by utilizing the most powerful force we as humans posses….

Kindness, compassion and goodwill for the greatest good of all….

  1. I’m sorry MM for not being here sooner. I’ve got a rough week to say the least, ;-)

If only we got this kind of services here in Malaysia. There should be a place for unwanted vehicles. (I got a light bulb blinking brightly on top of my head) Yeah, thinking about it, it can be good business. Gonna go there now and have a look around.

    See you around MM.

Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.

  3. … most of us forget that there is a “place” for unwanted cars. I wish I had one to give :)
Now if there was a “Bike Angel”, I would have 5 to send in!
